INVESTMENT OPTIONS

National Development Fund Donation

The National Development Fund (NDF) is a non-profit fund that was established under section 42(2) of the Finance Administration Act 2006 for the purpose of funding government sponsored projects, including public-private partnerships and approved charitable investments.

The NDF contribution for a single applicant or a family of up to four people is US$ 100,000 and the processing fee is US$ 25,000.

The primary applicant may include his or her spouse, children under 18 and adult children between 18 and 28 years of age who are enrolled in full time attendance at a recognised institution of higher learning. In addition, parents or grandparents may be included who are above 58 years of age and living with, and fully supported by the primary applicant.

  • US$ 100,000 Single Applicant
  • US$ 100,000 Family of four

Real Estate

Applicants may also choose to purchase real estate with a minimum value of US$ 400,000 (or US$ 200,000 if two parties, which are related by virtue of being represented by the same Licensed Agent, purchase together) from an approved real estate project. The real estate cannot be disposed of for a period of five years.

  • US$ 200,000 Single Applicant
  • US$ 200,000 Family of four

Applicants prefer the real estate option, as they will acquire a tangible asset, which can also generate rental income, if desired. All of the qualifying property options that we recommend carefully managed for peace of mind ownership. The closing costs vary depending on the real estate selected.

Business

The direct purchase of an eligible business for a minimum amount of US$ 1.5 million as an individual, or a joint purchase involving at least two persons, with each individual contributing at least US$ 400,000, to fulfil the minimum purchase amount of US$ 5 million, would also qualify as an eligible investment under the programme.
